Enjoyed our stay here
My husband I stayed here for 3 nights for a quick anniversary getaway and were mostly happy here. I had to leave a review because some of the past reviews I read about this hotel made me not that excited at all for our stay at this location. We did not get the ocean room we requested as they hotel was full with some hurricane evacuees. We understood the situation. The room we got had maybe the worst view ever but we were hardly in the room so it was okay. The room was updated and large and bed comfy. AC worked and bathroom updated. We did request housekeeping but never got it. They did bring us extra towels when we called to tell them they didn't clean our room. I did notice the security locks to access the hallways didn't work. We enjoyed both pools, the upper deck for drinks and lunch and we had good service. We rented chairs and an umbrella each day and enjoyed the wonderful beach and ocean. We had breakfast 1 time at the hotel and the staff was very friendly and breakfast choices good. It is a 5 minute walk down the beach to other bars/restaurants and we used uber/lyft most nights to go into Destin area for dinners etc. Easy! Minus a few things it was a good stay in a great beach location!

Convenient Location to the Beach
Stayed at this hotel while my husband was on a work trip. The hotel is located right on the beach with umbrella and chair rentals available. There are a set of shops and restaurants within a 10 minutes walk next door. Otherwise, there isn’t much shopping or eating option within walking distance. Rooms were nice and spacious. Common areas are dated. There are key pads to enter each building, but they do not work so limited security. Our sliding glass door to the patio also didn’t lock. We were on the second floor so it wasn’t a huge deal. AC worked well. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in bathroom. With the exception of one front desk person, staff was friendly especially breakfast starf. Buffet breakfast had a nice variety - make your own waffles, fruit, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, cereal, bacon, sausage, juices, breads and pastries. Our breakfast was included with the room.

Won't stay here again
The location was nice it was right on the beach. We checked out and I had a bill emailed to me. I looked at it a couple hours after we left and saw someone had charged a bunch of stuff to our room. Food breakfasts and drinks. Called the hotel 3 days in a room and tried to sort it out and was told each time a manager would call me back later that day. It's been a week and I haven't heard from them. I disputed it on my credit cRd but the fact that they don't even ask for a last name when charging something to a room is ridiculous. There were people smoking weed by the pool.

Best staff in the world!
The view from our room of the beach was absolutely beautiful and came complete with a large balcony to sit at and enjoy. Big bed, fridge freezer, microwave...what more could you want! I was nervous having read other reviews but our room was spotless. The staff were all so nice, I'd go as far to say the friendliest, kindest and most genuine we've ever met. A special shout out to the outdoor bar tender and the fashion loving receptionist! (I'm so sorry I didn't get your names) You guys are an absolute asset to your employers. One of the most enjoyable stays we've ever had. Thank you all very much :)

Not as nice as the photos
This hotel was disappointing and we were excited for a little getaway. It looks beautiful in the photos but it is run down and an older property. It says "Newly Renovated" but it does not look updated, maybe they put some fresh paint and got a new mattress and did some landscaping? The picture of the pool on the beach is not the view from the main hotel, there is no pool in front of the main building. There is one off to the side though. This was a redemption stay and I'm bummed that I used valuable vacation time and 80,000 points for this. The view is beautiful from the room of the ocean. That is the major plus to this property. For the room: It's small, The door looked like someone tried to break in with damage near the lock and the door opens to outside like a motel. The fan in the bathroom is extremely loud and sounds like a fire hazard, the elevator says to see the inspection certificate at the front desk. Why wouldn't it be posted as required? The room is dated and feels like we went back to the 80's. The courtyard looks updated but it isn't a nice view if you were to get that room. I requested a King bed but got 2 Queens, but did receive an ocean view upgrade when my room should have been a garden view, which was nice and I do appreciate that. I know the room I got was probably the best they had so requesting another room wasn't an option or leaving since I would lose my points. The view is nice however you can see the deteriorating awning below and I saw a towel and trash laying on it. They charge $25 for parking each day which isn't on the app and a $25 resort fee also not listed on the app. I didn't know about these fees prior to arrival and it should be posted. You can get a credit if you eat at the bar restaurant which isn't fair since that has very limited options and 95% unhealthy. It's not where I would want to eat on vacation but we felt obligated or lose $50. The breakfast is basic but edible. The properties in South Asia were fabulous that I recently stayed at and it was a 3rd world country. So that also makes this more disappointing and the hotels were less expensive too!
