Dreams Riviera Cancun resort and spa is fantastic!!
We had a wonderful 9 days. The room was nice and clean. The staff always went above and beyond and delivered amazing service. Our 7 year old absolutely loved the Explorers Club. Vero, Tatima, Yareth, Andrea, Mar and Ale made it so fun for her that she would ask to go back everyday. Manuel (bell boy) treated us as if he was the general manager of the place. Secured a late check out for us without us even asking and always asked us how things were going. We loved our stay! We will be back again for sure!!!

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service
This is a beautiful resort. We came for our nephew's wedding. The wedding was beautiful - I was very impressed with the staff and how seamlessly everything ran. While there were positives, there were a few negatives as well. Positives: 1. Poolside activities. Uziel kept us busy during the day. Lots of activities for the kids. 2. Nightlife was pretty good - the "sports" bar was really more of a dance club and it never showed sports (or had a TV in it). Uziel was in charge of this too - karoake was a lot of fun! 3. Service. Service was exceptional everywhere. Clever in the lobby bar was great, and Wilbert in the pool bar was fun. Drinks were good and plentiful. 4. The spa was amazing! We upgraded and room and did the hydrotherapy, which I would highly recommend for anyone. There were some things I didn't care for such as: 1. There are no dressers in the rooms, and limited closet space, so I had to live out of my suitcase for 6 nights, which I absolutely hate doing. 2. Food is just ok. The Italian restaurant was good; didn't care much for the Mexican restaurant, and Seaside is great (we went there the most). There are not a lot of lunch options with the exception of the pool grill, which has amazing french fries, but it got boring after a day or two. 3. The pools are FREEZING. They are not heated and it took forever for them to warm up with the sun. Was not that enjoyable. 4. Walls are paper thin. We were right next to the elevator, so we heard dinging all night, plus a lot of other noise. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we will likely be back.

Great resort for families
Fantastic wedding destination! I went to this location for a wedding, 62 people in our group. Everything was awesome, resort is nice, clean, compact so not as much walking awesome other resorts. We didn't eat at the buffet, the restaurants are nicer and the service is fantastic everywhere. The staff really are remarkable, especially Clever at the lobby bar who will remember your name and drink after the first meeting. Wilbert at the swim up bar is fun and has great recommendations. Our housekeeper Angelica kept our room clean which isn't easy. Odd thing about this resort is that there are no dressers so you're living out of your suitcase with clothes piled and draped on furniture. The amount of weddings they pull off seamlessly is impressive! There is no night life, everything shuts down pretty early, I don't think you can get a drink past midnight. All in all it's a great place and I had a fantastic time:)

Subpar
Not enough onsite activities LOTS of weddings = LOTS of noise. Complained and was compensated with a free cabana on a day when it RAINED. 1 restaurant open for lunch -- hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza and nachos. Get's old after awhile and the food is subpar Food overall is average compared to other resorts stayed in (TRS is my comparison). Kids had fun at the pool, they didn't too much play at the beach. There were 2 jellyfish attacks during our stay.

Good experience at the Dreams Riviera Resort
We came here for a wedding and had a good time. The staff was very kind and attentive, rooms were clean, and maid service came around everyday and sometimes twice a day. The hotel is very walkable with all the restaurants, spa, and shops near the same area.
