    Fantastic

Sofia and Lenrry made this trip truly memorable, exceptionally friendly, attentive and always smiling. Food was great at all restaurants, with menus for kids, buffet was rather small but we were always able to get seating at an a-la-carte with minimal wait time. Would certainly recommend for families or larger groups. Sofia and Lenrry, keep up the great work, it will not go unnoticed!

Not a relaxing resort - definitely more for weddings and families and such.

Beautiful resort, wonderful staff, decent food, only thing we would have changed was how loud and booming it was. Lots of weddings, constant music, and overall busy-ness. Very kid friendly, lots of young families. The resort did a gorgeous job for our friend’s wedding.

    Good, not great

Good, not great, stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun. I stayed for 4 nights with my 10 year old son in a Preferred Club Room. The good: The resort is well maintained, and has very nice pool and beach areas. All of the staff were very helpful and are clearly doing their best to try to help you and make your stay more enjoyable while having to work with very limited resources. The bright spots were the servers in restaurants, by the pool, bell desk, housekeeping-all of these folks were attentive and were doing their best in what we could clearly see was an understaffed hotel (more on that later). Food and beverage quality was ok for an all-inclusive-I have had better, I have had worse at other all-inclusive hotels. The bright spot for us was their Teppanyaki restaurant which you have to reserve (do it when you get there), delicious. I did have stomach trouble for a couple of days after eating fresh fruit and also noted to the management at the poolside grill some unsanitary handling of raw meat, so I'd stick to the basics when you eat there and not get too adventurous. The Mexican and Italian restaurants were also decent, but had long waits for both despite being half full. The not-so-good: The pool and beach situation for chairs and umbrellas is pretty ridiculous. Good luck getting a chair. People are out at 6:30 AM staking out chairs and umbrellas for large family groups that don't even show up. Pool staff was also not super helpful (servers were, but the people in charge of ambience were pretty rude). I asked for an umbrella by the pool on a very hot and sunny day, and the reply was "we don't have any more". For what you are paying, there should be a system to get chairs and umbrellas for everyone that is staying there, Preferred Guest or not. I ended up getting up at the crack of dawn every day to get decent chairs and umbrellas for shade, so beware if you want to relax and sleep in and still enjoy the pool-not going to happen. I have stayed at other all-inclusive hotels where they have pool and beach staff that ensures they have enough seating, people can't "save" chairs, and help people get situated daily by the pool and on the beach through a check-in system to make it fair and relaxing. And as someone who paid extra for Preferred Guest privileges, they have a "private" beach area but that again is subject to people being vultures/selfish and only was able to get chairs there one day when I went out at 7am to stake out chairs. Also beware of double charging and keep all of your receipts for things you book on the app or through the concierge. I booked a cabana for one day before my stay, to show up that day saying "they don't have it in the system"-I showed them the confirmation email and payment voucher, to then be presented with a bill at check out for the cabana which I refused to pay and again had to "prove" I paid something that I booked through their system (in response to an email they sent!). I also booked and paid for a late check out through the concierge, which I was told "wasn't in the system" to later be found. Just adds a lot of stress to what should be a stress-free vacation. Hyatt bought the Dreams hotel chain in the past year or so and its clear that they are skimping back on staff and have a lot of system issues which I have never encountered anywhere else to this extent. Overall, not a great value for the money given the issues above-the staff needs more support from the hotel management, clearly.

good for teenage children adequate for parents and adults

Low budget all inclusive. My teenage kids enjoyed the swim bar and the food. For the parents the hotel is adequate. If you’re not a preferred member, part of The timeshare or whatever membership they try to sell you, you get only a buffet breakfast. You have zero ability to sit outside and drink your coffee in the morning. The pool area was nicely maintained, but if you don’t wake up early and save chairs you end up having nowhere to sit. All of the pool and beach cabanas you have to pay for and if you didn’t tip for service, good luck trying to get any food or drinks.

Amazing place, I would come back.

Amazing, Giovanna was super nice in the archery. Food amazing. Beach is great. Lovely place, recommended. Buffet and French restaurant are just incredible. Infinity pool is also pretty cool. Good singers and nice prices for the mini market that was one of the nights with hand made craft
