Feb 20, 2025Fun couples vacation
My husband and I just returned from A 5 night stay. We picked this resort for the slides and lazy river, which did not disappoint. Miguel and others at the swim up bar were exceptional! For lunch we headed over to Breathless (adults only) to enjoy either the party pool or the main pool. We found there was enough room to either be right in the mix of the action or floating around the other pool. The food was good. Not the best we’ve had but good. We absolutely loved the wink bar at Breathless, great drinks and people watching. Check in and out was a breeze, and Yousef who helped us to our room was so lovely and gave us great advice including dinner at the Steak House at Dreams. As a couple in their early 50s with no kids we really enjoyed being able to enjoy both resorts.

The resort was beautiful and the food was great. We stayed in one of the premium rooms with a private plunge pool and day bed which added to the experience. Our butler Franklin got us spots by the pool and the beach throughout our stay which allowed us to fully relax. Thanks Franklin for all your help during our stay it made it wonderful!

Great Family Resort!
This resort far exceeded my expectations for an all inclusive! I cannot say enough about how fantastic the staff was with our children. The Dominican in general seems to be incredibly family friendly. This resort is beautiful and clean! There are plenty of pools and activities in addition to a stunning beach. The main pool has a fun, but not obnoxious vibe. The water park/lazy river is super fun although the water in that pool is quite chilly as it’s mostly in the shade. Food was decent! You have to go in with the expectation you’re at an AI. Restaurants were okay but we actually enjoyed the Carnival buffet the most. I was surprised because I’m not typically a buffet person. We had such a great time we were actually really sad to leave and are looking to return next year!

We're returning to Dreams Onyx!
We really enjoyed our stay at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa. The property is impeccably maintained and staffed with friendly and caring staff. The food was always very tasty, fresh and properly prepared. The entire resort is exceptionally clean and designed to cater to the convenience of guests.

Excellent Stay!
We had a wonderful time at the Dreams Onyx. Our butler Angel made our stay even better. The beach is kept clean, the resort is well-maintained. The food is quite good, entertainment on-point, lots of bars to get drinks from, overall, we had a great vacation!
