Meh
Overall, we were more on the disappointed side. The website states that tips and gratuity are already included. However, I saw many people tipping and felt obligated to tip or else I wouldn’t get good service. I even saw some wait staff immediately walk over to a table after their party has left to see how much tip was left and make faces when it’s not sufficient. Not sure if tipping at an all inclusive is specific to Dreams or all other all-inclusives now. But if that is the new norm, I wouldn’t pay for all-inclusive anymore. The food was okay, beverages low quality and watered down, as expected for all-inclusive. In the future, I might as well pay for each meal/drink individually and get better quality and tip appropriately there. The check in process was very slow and manual. After check in, we were taken over to the side to listen to someone selling us hotel services. Honestly, we had an early flight and just wanted to get to our rooms to put down our luggages and settle in. The rooms were alright, everything is outdated though. Looks a lot nicer and newer in pictures. One area near the pool had A LOT of ants. We sat on the lounge chais and ants kept crawling on us. When we flipped the mat over, there were millions of ants underneath. We told the staff walking around. He just came over and patted down the ants and put the mat back. However, it’s clear that possibly someone spilled a sweet drink around there and it was attracting lots of ants, but no one would clean it. Also, pool was quite cold in November, not sure if it is warmer in summer. I couldn’t stay in there without my teeth chattering.

Beautiful Resort
Overall good experience, though levels of service are hit or miss. The resort itself is beautiful, with a great view as soon as you arrive. The lobby area, was by far one of my favorites. Facilities are clean, rooms were nice and clean. There was construction going on, but nothing to complain there. Luis at the pool was awesome!!! He is attentive and a great server. He helped us out all day and was always courteous. Food and restaurants - overall the food is good. With a no reservations system, you have to make sure you time right getting to the restaurant and putting your name on the list. Otherwise you end up having to eat at 9 pm. The Italian restaurant Portofino was delicious. The Squid ink pasta and risotto is to die for. The French restaurant Bordeaux is mediocre to say the least. Food wait time was over an hour both times we went, but there was barely anyone there. The second time we went, our server visited us maybe once or twice. We asked for more bread, because we were hungry and had been waiting a while, and the server never came back. We ran out of water and drinks, no one offered us more, and some people in our party didn't even get their food.

Great staff, great service
Currently here and having a great time. There is construction at one of the restaurants along with the swim up rooms they are building, but overall, it’s been a good experience. Mercedes on the beach has been so attentive and knows us by name. The hostess Natalia at the dinner restaurants has been so kind and accommodating. The wedge salad at Seaside for dinner is amazing!!

Domingo - Mr Personality!
I had an amazing time participating with the entertainment team with emphasis on Domingo. He was outside by the pool leading activities and making sure we knew about Karaoke in the Desires Club. He went above and beyond to engage with all the guest and he helped to make our stay at Dreams memorable.

Great resort!
Great food, great service. Beautiful resort and not too big like so many all inclusive resorts. Only complaint which they can do nothing about is the beach. It’s very steep and riptide is so strong you can’t swim in the ocean. I love swimming in the ocean so probably won’t be back.
