Must Go!
I absolutely loved staying in Dreams Cozumel! We got the preferred pass where we could go to all the Hyatt resorts which were Sunscape and Secret's. I saw some reviews complaining on cleanliness and housekeeping, but honestly that was not a problem for me. We were out on the beach and enjoying the pools the entire time. The ocean there was absolutely beautiful. It literally felt like we could just walk out and snorkel right from our resort. The water was crystal clear and the beaches were AMAZING! The food was also great! They had a so many restaurants to choose from. Normally all inclusive food is lack luster, but the food there was quite enjoyable. Not only was it just paradise, but the staff there was so great! I loved Heidi, Edwin, and Diego! They all were absolutely amazing, and so very sweet! They would find us to inform us about the special events they were hosting for that day and just made us feel like family. I loved it so much I will actually be back in 6 months.

Should you go….Dreams Cozumel Cape
After reading negative reviews we were considering changing our resort but ended up going and enjoying our stay. Speaking with others who had previously visited this resort they noted many changes are happening and unfortunately not for the better. Pros: The food was solid for the most part. Our favourite was Olio and lunch at Oceana. We did have a few experiences where our food was cold when served but overall, we did enjoy the restaurants. Cappuccino at Coco Café was delightful Location – the beach is beautiful, and you can walk a long way. Snorkeling right from shore is outstanding (especially by the Secrets pier) – we suggest you bring water shoes as it is shallow and full of coral which make it very difficult to enter. Staff were excellent, especially the ladies on the beach servicing drinks, the team at Olio and Oswaldo at the front. Morning yoga with Peggie, who brings a delightful class that is inclusive and sets you up for a great day. Fire show was entertaining Cons: Consistency in drink mixing abilities They have a good selection of premium brands of liquor however use poor quality mix which really affects the quality. Cleanliness and updating around the resort. Limited daily activity and very quiet at night. Limited beach chairs – people get up very early to put towels on chairs to reserve Our visit to Cozumel was to experience the diving and snorkeling and that did not disappoint. Overall, the Dreams and Secrets brand under the new ownership of Hyatt seems to have suffered in terms of quality and consistency which is very unfortunate. We do not typically return to the same location as we like to experience different parts of the world however if we did we would definitely think twice about returning to Dreams Cozumel Cape.

Another great Cozumel vacation
This was our 5th time to Cozumel. We stayed at a different resort every time, and Dreams was the best overall. From the time we arrived until we left the staff was friendly and pleasant to deal with. The breakfast buffet was good, with a variety of different things to eat. They served food and drinks on the beach which we took full advantage of. Dinner was delicious. We ate at all the restaurants at Dreams , El Patio at Sunscapes and Bordeaux at Secrets. If we come back a 6th time Dreams will be our choice.

Love this Resort for many reasons
The staff at Dreams Cozumel Cape are always very pleasant and helpful. So much to do there. Use the APP they provide for your stay or ask for a printed copy of activities. Gym, yoga on beach , pool volleyball, kids activities, tequila class, great entertainment at night. We enjoy the beach, snorkeling and scuba diving too. Rooms are clean and lots of drawers for your clothes and a Nespresso machine too. Food is good but dinner restaurants need to serve hot food HOT not lukewarm. Love to have breakfast at Market Café overlooking the ocean. The Coco Café serves the best cappuccinos and macchiatos at 7am and its just minutes from my room.

Food needs a ton of work!!
If you get a room on the beach in one of the swim up building it will be the best part of this trip. Rooms are updated and are clean. If you’re hungry for good and different foods this is not the resort for you. We knew this from staying here in the past and it seems it hasn’t changed a bit. In fact it’s worse. And as far as the preferred club don’t waste your money you get nothing more than anybody else staying in the back bungalows. I did like the fact that they now have can beer which was better than the carbonated piss coming out of the tap! Also the booze is the cheap stuff put in the name brand bottles so don’t be surprised this is normal in Mexico no matter where you go! This property is owned by Hyatt and they have a lot of work to do before we go back!
