    Good winter getaway.

Beds were very firm and not comfortable. Without the Preferred option your dining options are very limited. Communication of special events was lacking. Ask lots of questions. Drinks were good and basic restaurants were OK. Kids had a great time!

    Perfect 10!

This resort is a perfect 10! Beautiful location only 30 minutes from the airport. Clean and wonderful facilities. Expansive too - we were there for a week and still didn't get to explore everything there was to offer. Food and service were outstanding! Can't wait to visit again!

Slides are as fun as they look...

...but definitely not as clean as it should be. There is set water in parts of the nook and crannies of the slide structure, I saw moss. EEk. But, we were able to get our daughter to avoid it. Despite my slight aversion to the dirtiness, seeing my daughter have a great time was the best, of course, after we reminded her to keep her mouth close when she runs around. ;) We did see the staff try to come and clean at night, but it was more about going through the motions than really cleaning. And to also not only point fingers to the staff, we saw parents wiping their kids nose and putting the excretion in the pool. People, please, don't be disgusting. There are accessible towels everywhere, use them. The views are beautiful and worth the penny if you decide to get the suites. The plunge pool was not our thing, we would have much prefer a hot tub on the balcony. But, to each their own. However, we got to see the finest sunsets of the Pacific for five days. The Kids Club here is organized and pretty amazing. I loved that they also offer meals for the children at appropriate times and time-boxed their activities, almost like a vacation camp. The flexibility and warmth made our daughter feel welcome. This also allow us to feel comfortable for her excitement to pop by in the evening for a few hours while we ate like adult humans, even though the food itself was meh. Dining as adults was definitely excellent. Mucho gracias, Jennifer and Paola. The food was not great. I would honestly not recommend looking forward to any of the meals here. I would recommend only drinking sadly. And a potentially decent enough place to is Portofino's. We came back from our vacation rather hungry for good food. This is why a star is taken off.

Very pretty resort, but super busy

The resort is very pretty, but the checkin process is lacking. Once we were checked in, there was no direction whatsoever in locating our room. It took us a solid 20 minutes and taking multiple elevators after asking 3 separate staff members once we left the check in desk how to get to our room. It definitely set a poor first impression overall. The entry was chaotic with luggage littering the entire area. Once we got beyond that, the resort really is pretty (overlooking some minor maintenance issues). Our particular room was a “partial ocean view”. It definitely was that, but was also primarily a construction zone view. Fortunately we did not spend a ton of time in the room. We had maintenance come to fix a broken shower head, but otherwise, the room was pretty nice. We had turndown service one night out of four. The plant based food options are minimal at the resort but we made do. The best place was Himitsu. The chef, Ricardo, should be commended. He made me a gorgeous bowl of tofu during our hibachi dinner. He personally came out and spoke with us to make sure everything was as we wanted. We loved the views from the resort too!

Resort is great, food and drink are not.

Nice resort, terrible food in the restaurants. Buffet is ok, but drinks are just ok. Hotel overall is spectacular, rooms, and facilities are very nice. Food is not very good. They are obviously trying to save money here. We had a very fishy ceviche made with tilapia...? We had food from the Italian restaurant that actually made people sick, not to mention the food was just plain awful. They have the nerve to try to sell you $300+++ bottles of wine to drink with food a dog wouldn't even eat.
