Feb 19, 2025Our escape from reality did not live up to our expectations!
We decided to upgrade to preferred status so that we could have lunch and breakfast at Oceana as well as access to the preferred pool. Oceana was great and the staff was amazing. It was nice to not have to eat buffet for breakfast and lunch. The preferred pool had almost no premium alcohol except for Bacardi and the non-preferred pool bar had a better selection. It was very discouraging to have rail alcohol when that was not what we expected. The food at all of the restaurants was great, with Gohan and Seaside Grill being our favorite. The entertainment is almost non-existent in that they planned a blackjack night in the lobby and there was one table that could fit about 4 people and those 4 people were at the table for the hour that it was "open" There was bingo in the Desires lounge and it was so hot in there, you could not stand to stay and play. Our biggest issue was housekeeping. The first 3 days that we were there, our room was cleaned and we got turn down service promptly. From the 4th day on, there were 2 days that our room never got cleaned and 2 days that we had to stalk the hallways for a cleaning cart and steal clean towels. This was our second time at this Dreams and absolutely love the community that they are in. Being able to walk into town and visit local bars and restaurants was the highlight. I don't know that this will be enough to bring us back again as this time the things listed above were almost deal breakers for us. This left us disappointed and discouraged because we were so looking forward to the service that we received the first time.

If you don't need a lounge chair this place will be fine.
My four best friends and I stay at this resort to celebrate our 40th birthdays this year. While we had a very nice time and wonderful trip together, there are a few things that this resort needs to step up their game on. But let's start with the good stuff. The beds are extremely comfortable, and we love having the balcony overlooking the water. We enjoyed some delicious meals at the Seaside Grill and Gohan. The breakfast buffet was OK, but they ran out of bacon and sausage for two of the days while we were there. That was a little disappointing. The room always felt very clean and spacious however lacked storage for us to actually unpack so we all lived out of our suitcases for six days. we appreciated the robes and slippers though we used them every day. Our biggest complaint is that for five of us to find beach chairs together was impossible so we started going down early to reserve them but apparently if you are not at your seat for 45 minutes while you grab breakfast, the staff takes all of your stuff and removes it from the chairs and takes it to lost and found. You can imagine how upsetting this was the first time wondering if someone stole all of our stuff. They don't tell you anything at check-in About reserving chairs or what the "rule" is on our last day. We stood around for three hours waiting for Alejandro to bring us chairs that never came and the manager. Henry also never came as promised either. I will never understand how a resort doesn't have enough lounge chairs for their guests , it was not just our group that was upset about this. There were many people on the beach wondering where their stuff went. We have some wonderful staff Anita Federico and Alma were rockstars and took great care of us. Guillermo was wonderful as well.

Feb 18, 2025Exceptional Resort with stunning Views, but Limited Dining Options
The Resort was above and beyond anything I could’ve imagined. The quality and cleanliness of the facilities was amazing. The rock pools next to the ocean were an adventure. The Staff were very attentive and friendly. The food options need improvement. One restaurant was closed and the remaining ones were average. The steak and Italian restaurants were the best.

Family place to go for lo key
Nice resort but miss the adults only side. Entertainment was very much less than in passed. Patio Mexican restaurant was closed and other dining areas were with very limited menu. Staff was very helpful and resort is clean and kept up well everywhere we spent time.

Review
Antonio was amazing!!! Very helpful during the check in and check out process. Overall, the food at the resort was just okay. Definitely a family resort so keep that in mind if you go with friends and don’t want kids around! Also they could use more chairs at the beach and pool
