    Everything you need to know

Second stay in the last year. I noticed that there were improvements in my room. Exceptionally comfortable bed, quiet, and although the bathroom is small but nicely appointed and comfortable. The food is amazing at Trees. The restaurant off the lobby. The burgers are always on the spot and delicious. If you go, make sure you ask for Daisy. She is the most pleasant, friendly, and all-around amazing server. She should be cloned. She was the only server on Thursday night, and it got quite busy. She never missed a beat, kept smiling, and really kicked butt. The hotel needs to make sure she stays and should clearly consider her for management! Preston and Kim, and Wendy at the front desk are all outstanding and most welcoming group. Overall, I give this hotel a 5

    Did not feel safe.

What’s the point of having DND signs if they still enter your room??? I was at a time share presentation while my 21 month old was taking a nap and my wife was in the bedroom. The DND sign was on the door. She heard a knock that sounded far away. 10 seconds later security entered the room shining a flashlight on my daughter! Her heart was pumping so fast! No where do they tell you they will enter your room if they leave the DND sign on too long! I’ve never had that at any other hotel I’ve stayed at! What if we were naked or in bed??? Invasion of privacy much?? On top of it, isnt it odd they came in the room while I was on my presentation, out of all the times?? They probably thought no one was in there! Suspicious. Would not stay here again. Apparently it’s Hilton’s policy, but was unable to produce the policy when asked. They need to inform their guests upon check in.

DO NOT STAY HERE—THIS HOTEL IS UNSAFE AND DISGUSTING.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Alana - Waikiki is hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. My expensive item was STOLEN from my room, and the staff couldn’t have cared less. I was completely disturbed knowing that someone had gone through my personal belongings while I was away. That is a horrifying feeling—your hotel room is supposed to be a safe place, not somewhere you have to worry about your things being rummaged through and taken. When I reported it, the so-called “security officer” immediately dismissed my concerns, saying it couldn’t have been the maid because she had been there for years. Excuse me? That’s your entire investigation? Just blindly trusting your staff instead of actually looking into what happened? Unbelievable. The complete lack of concern from management and security made it clear that guest safety is NOT a priority here. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the room itself was filthy. The sheets were visibly dirty when we arrived, which means housekeeping isn’t even doing the bare minimum. If they can’t be bothered to change the sheets, I don’t even want to think about what else isn’t being cleaned properly. This hotel is an absolute joke. It’s unsafe, unclean, and run by people who do not care about their guests. If you value your belongings, your privacy, and basic hygiene, DO NOT stay here.
