    Poor elevator

If you don’t have plans on going anywhere at any specific time then this is the place for you! The elevator situation is insane- and they don’t have the stairs available for people to use going up- only down. And they are tiny elevators so if there is one double stroller in there, good luck. I did read about the pool deck from other reviews and yes i agree it’s super slippery. I’d rather stay near by in another hotel next time.

    Works and is efficient

3 night stay in February 2025, think we paid around $350 for the room with a $40 night parking fee. The other review mentions all the main things about the hotel. Elevator - the system is garbage, they staff the lobby with an attendant to press your floor so your floor number doesn’t pressed over and over. Which our kids did and we learned from an attendant that it adds that floor to each different elevator each time it’s pressed, so press it four times and all four elevators will stop on that floor. I feel bad for families with huge strollers on the lower floors as you wont get space in an elevator in the morning rush to get out the building. We saw the freight elevator being used as well, so maybe that’s the only thing they can do without shutting the elevators down and installing new controls. Pool deck was slippery, nothing they can do now unless they change the materials which they wont. As its the original pool, I wouldn’t want to stay here in the summer as its small, in February it felt cramped. Walls - thin and sounds transfers, we heard our neighbors and their FaceTime call with grandma. Location - great for DCA, nothing special about Disneyland. Rooms - great character, kids loved it. Bathroom door has a slider so all the noise from the bathroom transfers into the room.

BEWARE: Poor Customer Service and Room Quality

We normally stay at the Disneyland Hotel; however this time we decided to give the newly renovated Pixar Place Hotel a try. We stayed at the Pixar Place hotel from Jan. 14 - 18, 2025. We reserved a Premium View Room which according to our travel agent, should have guaranteed us a view of Park. Our travel agent also contacted Disney directly prior to our arrival to ensure that we were set. Upon checking in, were placed on the 8th floor with a view in the direction of the park, which consisted mainly of the rooftops across the street. The only thing visible of the actual park was that of the tall rock at Radiator Springs. I called the front desk to request a higher floor since that's what were were paying for, but and instead was quickly informed by the front desk agent that our reservation was for a view of the pool, not the park. She then proceeded by offering to upgrade us for an additional $75 night, which I declined and stated that I would speak with my travel agent in the morning. Around 15-20 minutes later, I received a call back for the front desk. This time it was another agent. The gentleman appolgized for the the issue and then stated that he could move us to the 11th floor at no charge. Needless to say we gladly accepted. However, as we repacked our belongings to begin the room move, the agent called back to notify us that the room that we'd be moving to was also and ADA room. When asked what the difference was, the agent stated "it's mainly the roll in shower". Given that info, we proceeded to the front desk to get our new keys. (Although, based on the info that previous agent provided, he technically could have placed us in another normal room instead of that ADA room; since according his co worker it was available for an additional "$75 night"). I guess they were too focused on the upsale that they forgot about the customer service aspect. To our surprise, the ADA room was significantly different (shower, beds, closet, desk, etc.) and also lacked the sofa couch that the other room had, which would have been useful for a family with two children, such as ours. On the second night, we returned back late from the parks. We we all tired. As I showered, I noticed that the shower drain began to overflow and the water quickly overflowed out into the bathroom. Luckily my husband was able to clear the drain (which was disguisting) and we were able to dry to floors - Definitely not something that you'd want to do on your vacation. To make matters worse, we were unable to fall asleep due to all of the noise coming from surrounding rooms. The walls at this hotel are so thin that when the baby next door cried, it sounded as if he/she was in the room with us. Then, in the wee hours of the morning, there were thumping footsteps coming from the floor above and sounded as if a child was running up and down the room/hallway. During our last night there, safety also became a concern, as the front door didn't seem secure. We noticed that when all of the lights in the room were turned off, we could still see light coming in from the hallway. There appeared to be a gap between the wall and the door frame. This is honestly not the type of service and room quality that I've come to expect from a Disney Hotel. We could have stayed at a GNH with better service, room quality, and paid way less. Our stay here was extrememly disappointing. It's unfortunate that this was our first impression of this hotel and likely our last.

Across the street from DCA, that's about it.

across the street from DCA. lots of Pixar elements across the hotel. There's a designated entrance to DCA for Hotel Guests. For Disneyland you will have to go to downtown Disney to use either the monorail or the entrance at the other end of the downtown Disney. It's really pricy. We can get a suite in Westin 1 mile away with the same price.

    Birthday at Disneyland

The hotel is very nicely updated with a lot of Pixar characters and pictures. The bathroom was very nicely redone. The animators lounge provided decent refreshments throughout our stay. The elevators were extremely confusing and slow. The hotel could also benefit from additional soundproofing given the clientele that stays there.
