DANGEROUS TODDLER BED!
Nice room and resort but pull down toddler bed is DANGEROUS! We are a retired couple, and I pulled opened the cabinet thinking it might be storage when we checked in. The bed came down hard, almost knocking me over. The resort engineer came out and looked at it and said it has hydraulics. Yes, it has hydraulics, but they only kick in after the bed has come down a foot (and come down hard). If a small child is standing on the bench and messing with it, it could be really bad. I reported it but I don't think I made much of an impression. I wouldn't stay here if you have small children, although the bed is cute.

Better than I was expecting...
Our stay at CBR was very nice. We were in building 35 in the Trinidad section in a 5th sleeper Under the Sea themed room. The room was light, fresh, updated and themed so nice. I highly recommend the Trinidad section- it is close to the skyliner and not too far of a walk to Port Royale in our opinion (there is an internal bus if you'd rather use that). Another perk to Trinidad is Spyglass Grill. There is a refillable mug station and good food options within a short distance from any Trinidad building. The lobby at CBR is very nice, well decorated and welcoming. The feature pool is fun for the whole family with two small water slides, there is a dedicated pool area for children under 48 inches and there is a hot tub also. The grounds at CBR are beautiful and well maintained. It is a lovely resort. The buildings were freshly painted and the overall resort felt clean and well maintained.

Mediocre stay
Housekeeping was our biggest bugbear. We were informed on arrival that housekeeping would visit every other day. We stayed for 10 days. They visited day 3 as expected. They then missed day 5. We called numerous times on day 6 and eventually they visited very late in the day. We then expected they would visit on day 8, but they didn't. By this time we had run out of towels and coffee and our waste bin was overflowing. After many more phone calls they brought some towels and coffee. We called again on day 9 and they did eventually make a full housekeeping trip to the room, again late in the day, which was pretty useless since we checked out next morning. The water pressure in the shower was barely adequate. The buses to and from resort to theme parks were not frequent enough at peak times and incredibly crowded. The cups we were asked to buy so that we could refill from the drinks machine leaked all over the contents of our bags. The staff were pleasant enough but seemed unable to respond to problems when raised. They seemed almost surprised that we raised issues.

Information/questions answered about the resort before you go
The Skyliner is great! We never waited more than 10 minutes for the Skyliner & it will always run unless the weather is so bad on its direct route. There is an internal resort bus that makes all 7 stops & runs about every 20 mins. Parks & Springs buses also run about every 20 mins. Although once we did have to wait 40 mins & missed most of early entry. Watch for the times on the app so you know when the next bus is coming & when to be at the stop. And parents please put smaller children on your laps, especially at the end of the night, everyone is tired & should be able to sit, your 2 year old does not need their own seat. The Centertown Market food is ok, its cafeteria food, kids will like it, actually thought it was better than Banana Cabana. You can always go to the quick service at Riviera(take the internal bus if at the other end) for a higher quality meal. Absolutely recommend the refillable mug. 5 fills & you've come out ahead on it. There are 1-2 freestyle machines in each section. I saw deliveries made from several different companies. We used Kroger & WalMart & it was great! They will leave your items at Bell Services & there is even a refrigerator if you have a few cold items(just remember the room fridge is small). The staff at Bell Services were so nice, even though they are constantly busy & working outside in that Florid weather. There are resort vans that will take you & your luggage directly to your room, but it might be quicker to take the internal bus. The laundry rooms were great, especially since we were there for almost 2 weeks & I think open 24 hours. You download the app & make payments through there, $3.25 per wash/dry & it will tell you when your load is done. Since there is a room for each section getting a machine was never a problem no matter what time of day. They do have vending machines with laundry products, but since I knew we would be doing several loads(thanks to the FL heat & humidity) I ordered laundry soap through WalMart. We opted out of the every other day housekeeping, especially when I saw our lady hacking coughing then spitting up in the bushes, its ok, I don't need you in my room! We just asked for what we needed along the way. They will leave you a phone message on your cleaning day that they saw your room occupied sign & that they come in to just do a quick room lookover to make sure everything is ok in there. They had not dusted our room in a bit prior to our arrival, because when we had set items down & then moved them you could see the thick dust marks. There was also a large hole in one of our walls. There is some maintenance that needs to be addressed, especially all the peeled off walkway floor paint & the chunks of it laying on the ground nearby. The pool is nice & there seemed to be enough chairs. There were 2 girls walking around offering cool washcloths & water, which was a nice touch. We did use Mears to & from the airport & had a good experience both ways. $17 per person, each way. We had no problems with the wifi at any spot on the property. Interesting info- One of the workers did say this property is the most humid because of all the landscaping. Most all of the interactions with the staff were on the day we arrived, which were positive, and all workers always said hello when passing them throughout the property, except for a few housekeepers. We payed about $250/night & would stay here again. Though, we would like to see improvements in maintenance & especially housekeeping.

Once and done
We upgraded after finding Pop was having a refurb...in hindsight..Pop would have been better. We arrived early, checked in and although the rooms were not ready, the lady on reception advised we had Aruba, she even circled the rooms on the map. Off we went, parked up and into EPCOT...we kept checking the App...it was 5pm before the rooms updated to...Jamaica! We arrived back at the resort at gone midnight and had to find Jamaica in the dark...we circled that resort several times! Rooms are dated I think although Disney people say this is the idea...we were quite a way from the main building whish was a pain for food. The SkyWay thing is good but it does not run when there is lightening...and that happens a lot this time of year! Food in food court is awful, no GF options. I would not stay here again, we spent a few hours looking at other resorts and I believe there are better options.
