Excellent property for the price and very PET friendly. Our second visit in 3 months and Valerie at the front desk remembered us. She is a delight and very personable. Great customer service and so nice to deal with a friendly face and obviously one who cares about her job. A rare find in these days of no customer service. Take care of Valerie!! Clean property, great breakfast and great rooms. We will return soon.

EXCELLENT Stay!
My family and I stayed in one of the largest rooms for six. This room was bigger than my first apartment, and we all slept quiet and comfortably. The room and all facilities were very clean, the housekeeping staff ensured that we had all the towels we needed; they kept our room completely stocked with toiletries and bath tissue. We appreciated the front desk's friendliness and cheerful smiles. Our checking in process was quick and without any added fees, which made for a very relaxing stay. We were extremely surprised by the FREE "continental breakfast", in reality this was a full COMPLETE breakfast smorgasbord with lots of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, coffee, real orange juice, fancy yogurts, lots of fruits, bagels, toast, muffins, chocolate milk, regular milk, hot & cold cereals, the food was endless!!! Additionally, in case you get hungry for a midnight snack, there is a fully stocked snack and drinks bar which has reasonable prices. For entertainment there is a large TV with hundreds of channels in the room, also a conference center to hold your meetings if needed. My family took advantage of the gym to get a good workout, then took a swim in the nice heated pool; they even provided the towels! In summary, this was an EXCELLENT 3 day stay for all of us, and at a very affordable rate. I wish this particular hotel was in every one of my destinations, I would sign up for membership on the spot! Thanks Comfort Suites South!

A late evening stop that proved to be a good choice. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We found the room to be clean and beds comfortable. Reasonably priced for the service. They did have the traditional breakfast available instead of a BAG TO GO AS IN SOME STATES.

Dec 30, 2020Why Don't I Read The Reviews
Okay, I understand this is not a high end hotel. I also understand it is located in Amarillo and you get what you pay for, but come on...... Holes in the sheets, stains on the pillow cases, floors and walls plus an offset toilet was just the beginning. I do not have the time to mention everything else. I have stayed in some really bad places before and gave them 4 stars because they are trying and doing the best with what they got. It seems here, the staff and ownership don't even care. I should have read the reviews.

Hotel is getting old and a bit run down. The location was way out of the way (despite being right off the Interstate) and frankly it was a little scary. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and the room was clean for the most part. Beds were definitely a bit old (and thus soft). The washer-dryer was dirty and the hallways dark.
