Excellent service with amazing views of bay and Pacific Ocean

Beautiful resort! Amazing tropical lobby with Koi fish I was so impressed with landscaping. Tower room with bay view was my favorite! Lovely views from balcony. Service is excellent, Ian was so helpful and took time to show me the resort and explain all amenities. Dante and Hitomi at front desk were also very kind.

    Fantastic girls trip

Awesome girls trip at the Catamaran! We didn't know what we wanted to do so we asked Mikko and he was so patient with us as all of us wanted to do something different. What a rockstar!! All of his suggestions were spot on! Beautiful setting and awesome shell hunting too. Will be back for sure

    Location but that's all.

I was very disappointed in many things at this "resort." My husband uses a walker and a wheelchair and so I search extensively for hotels that have rooms that accommodate our needs. Catamaran indicated they did. Initially, we had room 653, a room fitted out for the disabled. The good thing is that there is an automatic door to exit the room which makes it very easy for a person in a wheelchair. That's it. The entire room slants in all kinds of directions. The sliding door to the deck would not stay open - it slides closed and can be dangerous for someone that is moving slowly. None of the drawers in the dresser stayed closed and so we had to put our suitcases in front of the drawers to keep the drawers closed. In the bathroom, there was no lid on toilet seat cover and so flushing the toilet of course results in toilet spray. Monday morning, we discovered there is construction work being done on the tower in which we are staying. And so, from 9:00 until 4:00, there's a constant drilling noise even though it is on the second floor and we are on the sixth floor. This made it impossible to work or concentrate while in the room. We could not sit out on the balcony either due to the noise. So, we really didn't have the use of our room for the entire day. The shampoo, body wash, and conditioner containers in the shower we're not refilled prior to our stay and so there is no shower gel to wash with. There is only a very small towel rack in the bathroom next to the sink, and nowhere to hang bath towels once they have been used to dry out. There is only a very small table next to the bed, and only one plug in the clock radio. There is nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries except above the toilet on the rack, which given if there is no toilet seat cover and toilet water spray results when you flush the toilet it seems unhygienic at best. On the second day, the lawn chairs were not set up at noon, which seems ridiculous. Why can't I sit out there in the morning sun? Especially since it is too unpleasant to sit on our deck? I inquired at the front desk twice about the chairs, both times being told they would find out and get them set up. At 4pm, the chairs had still not been set up. I complained to the front desk and the individual working was extremely rude, saying that I should not get angry at him about the lack of chairs. We demanded the manager. I explained that we couldn't be in our room due to noise, there were not chairs, and I was angry we were paying an enormous "resort" fee for no services. The manager said the chairs had not been placed as they were doing a photo shoot. He said many times we were most important and each time I said that - given the service - the customers clearly were not important. The manager said he would take the resort fee off and move us to a different room, since the construction was going to continue. We did that. Predictably, that wasn't a good solution. The second room had no AC nor heat because the thermostat was broken. We were told they would fix it the next day (Wednesday) and we would not be charged for that night. On Wednesday, we were told they could not fix the thermostat, and they would move us to yet another room. I asked for a late check out on Friday, our last day, and they could only accommodate until 2, but we were "welcome to stay until our flight" which was at 6pm. Predictably at this point, the lawn chairs were removed at 4 for a 'special event' which never occurred. Another non-accessible feature of the hotel - the sidewalk into the hotel ends at a curb with no curb cut out, so anyone using a wheelchair or any other kind of mobility device - or a stroller - needs to walk through the driveway in order to get to the hotel from the street. Yes, a beautiful location. But it is old, tired, some of the staff are very rude, and they seem to value 'special events' over the hotel guests.

    Room 403 Garden Room!

Diante assisted me to reserve this trip. Appreciated his help. Very kind, patient and thoughtful. We have been going to Catamaran for over 17 years. Always been a pleasant trip. Fortunately always got to stay in Room 403 that's our favorite room!

    Excellent couples massage

My wife and I went to the spa where we had a couples massage and enjoyed the jacuzzi. Both of our masseuses were excellent. Shelan got my shoulders and calves very relaxed. The bathrooms have very nice showers, lots of amenities. This is our second time at the spa, we highly recommend it.
