Best beach we have been to! The nicest greeters in the breakfast buffet. Special thanks to Angeles and her co-worker!! Made us feel very welcome every morning. Excellent! Easy to make dinner reservations and had no issues getting in This is a smaller resort ,so no additional amenities such as a tennis court.

I’m going to preface this with this is a beautiful resort. Lots of cobblestones so be prepared. The ladies with heels were wobbly! It does have its pros and cons. I’ll start with the pros: Food is good. Buffet is okay. I ate at the Mexican, bloved, Rauxa, Grill. Rauxa was the best and the show was fantastic. Get the short ribs! The smoothie/juice bar MooLoo is amazing! The staff are so friendly. Especially Araceli, Paulina, & Quetzabel was so cheerful! The beach is beautiful, clean, white sand and turquoise waters (mostly). No bugs! This surprised me since the rooms are set in the jungle. Cons: The privileged area is right beside the public beach so it’s crazy packed and loud on weekends. Weekdays is less busy. They don’t change things up at the buffet often so it’s pretty much the same menu. The buffet is not open every night for dinner. Bloved is small portions. Some parts of the meals are small portions at the other restaurants. The shows are okay. Rauxa show is the best! Not much else to do in the evenings. The rooms are set in the jungle so it can get pretty dark in the room. Not much sun gets in. Nothing dries in the room. We took stuff to the beach with us to dry. The room is extremely musty. I’ve washed all my clothes 3 times and it’s still smelling. It looked like our shower had a lot of black mold. I couldn’t quite tell if it was just stains or fresh, but when I wiped it with a towel, it was a bit black. You only get one beach towel per day. There is nowhere to trade on a wet towel. There are no umbrellas on the beach. No one follows the no smoking. People smoke anywhere they want to. Overall, although we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the beach, this is not a resort I’d return back to.

A beautiful holiday for us. The hotel was adults only and therefore there was a nice quietness. Everywhere was clean, friendly and hardworking staff. They kept asking us if we needed anything. The food was very good and the drinks too. I like to remember the dinners in the À la carte restaurants. My experience - we arrived at the hotel just before Hurricane Beryl hit. In two days there was no sign of anything. The staff cleaned and repaired everything meticulously.

Amazing location, staff, and experience! Perfect beach vacation.
My wife and I had an amazing experience at Catalonia Royal Tulum! The location is perfect, the beach is amazing and the walk from your room to the pool is in the middle of what feels like a tropical jungle paradise. There were times we felt as if we were the only ones there! The staff are kind and say hello, and take excellent care of you. I feel that we could write multiple reviews to highlight each of the staff we met during our stay. We especially want to thank the Entertainment Team for their energy, effort, and enthusiasm during our stay. We were not sure what to expect, but the Entertainment Team provided something for everyone. Mornings they provide some yoga or stretching or pilates (depending on the day), followed by a workout in the pool, and a variety of games like bocce, darts, or volleyball. Perhaps our favorite entertainment they provided was the ones that surprised us the most -- the late afternoon pool party is a must (complete with large inflatable ducks and drinks), and the evening events are so fun! Some of the best memories during our stay are from the evening events, including painting, the Glow / Neon party, the games during the Mexican night, and the overall energy the Entertainment Team provides. What is most important to us is how they treated the guests. It cannot be easy to keep your energy and welcoming smile, but the team interacted with all guests and made us feel included. We cannot thank them enough for making our stay so memorable! Special thanks to Charlie, Abraham, Paula, Tita, Shamad and Diego for all the smiles and laughs we shared with them! They are an extremely dedicated team and if you're staying at CRT, be sure to say hello to them and see what events are happening! We were also extremely thankful for the attention of the amazing bar staff - in particular, Mónica and Araceli on the beach, and Elias and his team at the bars. They learned our favorite drinks and shared some good conversation with us. We saw them paying attention to all their guests, and enjoyed all the interactions and conversations we had. At the breakfast buffet (La Palapa), Quetzabal provides a warm welcome, and Karla and Angeles are extremely inviting. Rosario and Luis took very good care that our coffee and espresso were made correctly, and checked on us when we needed more beverages.

Best time at CRT with the family
Currently here and having the best time!!!! We absolutely love the whole Animation team, especially having fun with Paulina, Charlie, Abe, Diego, Tita, Shamed! The New Year’s Party was the best! Food has been so delicious and the front desk has been extremely helpful. Thank you CRT!
