Disappointing Stay with Missed Expectations and Poor Service
Our recent stay at Breathless was disappointing and fell far short of expectations. Before our arrival, I filled out a detailed questionnaire intended to tailor our experience, clearly mentioning that we were visiting for our honeymoon. To our shock, nothing was done to acknowledge this—not even a simple door banner or welcome message. It felt as though the questionnaire was completely ignored, which was very disheartening. The staff, with the exception of the butlers Craig and Reynard, appeared disinterested and unmotivated, often making us feel unwelcome. The restaurant wait staff at the restaurant Altitude, in particular, were unapproachable and seemed tired and frustrated, which significantly diminished the dining experience. Maintenance issues were also left unresolved, such as an air conditioning problem that caused discomfort throughout our stay, even after it was reported. The resort’s infrastructure is in need of attention, as it already looks dated and worn for a property that is only six years old. It’s clear that better upkeep and maintenance are necessary to match the standards expected of a resort in this category. On a positive note, the entertainment staff were fantastic—cheerful, engaging, and a highlight of our stay. Their energy and friendliness stood out amidst the other disappointments. Overall, this experience fell far short of what we anticipated, especially given the premium price. Improving staff morale, addressing maintenance concerns, and providing a more personalized guest experience are essential for Breathless to meet the expectations it sets for its guests.

Honeymoon Dream
Breathless completely exceeded our expectations. We booked for a week for our honeymoon and we were pleasantly surprised with the presidential suite and the hospitality! Beautifully kept resort, with very accommodating staff. Come with your manners and respect and they will give it back tenfold. Food options were excellent (so many options with access to Secrets as well). Rooms were very soundproof, didn’t hear much neighbouring noise. Small resort footprint with beautiful views. Felt safe and comfortable. The skywalk to Secrets from the 1st floor was a quick jaunt to the beach access. Loved every minute; looking forward to returning again. Special thank you to Travis and Olivia for taking care of us from beginning to end. Patricia in housekeeping for the kind words. And our favourite waiter Theo, who always made sure our dining experience was perfect! You all always had a smile to share and made us feel at home. Keep it up and stay great xo Until next time

Loved this resort!
We were on the 5th floor. Food and staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our butler David was fantastic. From reserving Cabanas/recliners by the pool, to serving us drinks/food around the pool, reservations at several Secrets resort restaurants & in room food service. Food was excellent/drinks were top shelf. The roof top & ground level pools were well maintained. Entertainment was great too. Our point of contact Jodiana was excellent and very knowledgeable about our U.V.C. Membership.

Freezing Pool temperatures- fix the pool heaters
Freezing Pools! Currently staying here and the jacuzzi hot tubs and pools are empty because they are freezing! Have not been able to enjoy any of the pools in the Wild Orchid, St.James or Breathless every pool is colder than the next. Can someone fix this? Resort is beautiful- but what’s the point if we can’t go swimming?

Breathless Montego Bay!! What A Joke……. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
This Breathless, did not exceed our expectations at all. I’m very shocked how boring this resort was. Not to mention upgrades are needed. Our room was ok, we had a leaky ceiling in over our Jacuzzi which is annoying. Food is horrible you have to go on the Secrets side to eat good food. Some of the women are so nasty to us American women it’s sad! We are Big Tippers and you would think that helps but in some Cases it don’t! The resort is so boring, there is nothing to do. They have about 8 staff members doing a horrible job at trying to entertain you. No fun activities nothing, if you’ve stayed at a Breathless before than this is by far a downgrade. Total waste of money! One guy was so rude to us in the restaurant we left without eating at 9:40 to find out the other places close at 10:00, how convenient. Overall I would say, if you’re looking to go sleep and be bored this is the place! Oh” and not eat~ Food here is just not worth it, and when it’s gone it’s gone. They are limited on food! And they recycle the old food, I saw them pulling out old bread from the day before. It’s sad, we travel to these countries to be able to fulfill our dreams of learning about other cultures and they treat us like trash! I’m Just overall disappointed………….
