Expected More...
Overall this Breathless just isn't as nice as the Punta Cana one. The night club and our room smelt of mold. The buffet had limited hours and I would of liked to make reservations for nightly dining instead of waiting for over an hour to eat each night. The nightly activities were in such as small area it felt crowded.

Awesome vacation
Great resort! Food was great. Views were spectacular. Rooftop pool and their staff were the best in the Exhale tower. Restaurants were very good and the food was memorable. Awesome staff including Diego, Sergio, Carlos and Ricardo to name a few. Would definitely go again!!!

Great experience our entire stay.
The hotel is only 3 years old. Its beautiful and is well designed. The food at every restaurant was delicious and so many choices. We enjoyed the beach and pools which had very comfortable beach chairs. The music did get loud a few times during the day and evening but ended at 11pm. There is plenty to do there and the exercise instructors were really fun and brought a lot of energy to the activities. The nightly entertainment was always good and a nice variety of entertainment was offered.

We will not be back
I would suggest getting in writing what they tell you for voucher amounts and spa costs. We had a group go together and they told us all different prices. It was not okay and then tried to make us pay more money when it was their fault for not communicating correctly. The buffet food was better than the speciality resturants. The resturants took so long to get your food and it wasn't even that food. It was windy and cold in Jan when we went so we did not get to enjoy the pool. The staff were nice but did not seem to know the cost of things they just guessed amounts and made it seem like a "deal for you".

New Years Eve at Breathless....
We traveled with 11 people over New Years Eve......Let me tell you how it is. I always expect less until you "wow" me. Lobby - nice and check in was first class. No issues. Food - Overall is was better than normal. Lots of options and a ton of dead cow, maybe because it was a holiday. The buffet had many options and the food was HOT regarding temperature. Many complained about cold food on this blog at this resort...no way. Many options and the omlettes were "fancy". The japanese was great and had unique flavors. We opted out of the $65 per person charge for the tipenyaki show. We ate at tables and it was grand. The fish House was yummy, the italian was just ok and we never made it to the French. Overall impression - This is a HOTEL, not a resort. If your used to the big resorts, this is not it. The pool was deffinitely on the small side and dissappointing. I like to get lost when I am at the pool. I am used to many pools that go on and on with lazy rivers...not here. Rooms - This resort is probably one of the nicest when it comes to the rooms and we have been to Mexico (20) times. Very updated, nice clean, updated.....NOT TIRED at all. It had a freshness about them like they were very new. No glassblock or 1990's touches. The mood lighting in the room was nice. Best shower I have ever stood under - 2 rain spickets. Also, we had water on both sides of our room. You could hear the traffic BIGTIME in the middle of the night. Not great...it was like there was a window open. Beach - Beautiful..... and It sucked. The public beach entrance is right next door to the hotel. It was overrun by locals. I did not like that vibe. It ruined it, so we did not go to the beach much. It was safe and everything, I just didn't like the setup. Drinks - After a while everything tasted the same. Oscar at the pool bar was great. We tipped, so we had waiters clinging to us. Timesharing people - didn't see one. Raul at the pool was great and he gave me a great deal on a cabana for (5) days. They negotiate big time. Upper pool - Crazy and wild. We had fun up there people watching. It was a Vegas style pool with the House music, dancing in the pool and a great view of the beach. If your a senior citizen, stay downstairs. Plenty of chairs and towels all day. The amount of time spent on the New Years Eve Party was crazy. At least (4) days to setup and it was magnificent. Great job by all....the size of the pool, public beach and road noise were the downfalls.
