    Not Up Too Par!

This hotel is in the midst of remodeling and can't say it is doing much good. Do not know if the rooms we rented were considered remodeled or not. Had difficulty at the desk finding two rooms together because of this. Staff did their best but the rooms were very good. Our room had two broken bed frames, mold in the shower. insects in the bathroom, a terrible shower head, a broken toilet seat, and a broken sink drain. Upon checkout they couldn't find the room changes they made the night before on the computer and couldn't give us a receipt. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare. Would try another place until they finish remodeling. Was fairly close to the airport which was a plus.

Dangerous and dirty low cost motel

I booked a room for two nights because we lost power and water at our home in Western North Carolina due to Hurricane Helene. My office also was without power and we have two offices in the Greenville area. Hotels from Clemson to Travelers Rest were sold out, and this hotel was one of the very few that had availability. Based on the nightly rate I was expecting a basic hotel. This motel is basic and also very unsafe. Upon check in I went to room 155 and noticed two women walking the parking lot that did not appear to be employees. We went to dinner and the women were still walking the parking lot when we returned. Various vehicles rode around the parking lot at all hours. We determined the women were “working” the motel but not in an official manner. Only one electrical outlet in our room worked. Anything plugged into the rest of the outlets hung and would not stay plugged in. The wall lamp on my side of the bed did not work. I unscrewed the bulb to see if it needed tightened. It sparked and I noticed the base of the bulb had electrical tape on it. The room had a sleeper sofa which we planned for our child to use. We unfolded the bed and discovered a candy wrapper in the bed as well as dirt. Plastic ties were used in an attempt to secure the base to the frame. Most of the ties failed and the mattress hung down on one side. A classic flop house look. Needless to say our child was unable to use the sleeper sofa. The tiles at the base of the bathroom floor were deteriorating and the tub was stained. The next morning I walked out and found plaster or some material on the sidewalk in front of our room. The overhang had a hole where a piece fell out overnight. This motel is literally falling apart. In the light of day we noticed a large spider crawling in our bed. We agreed we had to find other accommodations or go home to the dark and just not work. I was able to find an Airbnb and booked that. While I am willing to pay for my first night I don’t feel I should have to pay for the second night since we are fleeing a dangerous motel. The gentleman at check in was great but the women that we spoke to at check out only seemed to want a fight. She could book to another unsuspecting party at the same or higher rate but she was not about to allow us to check out with a refund. Families should never consider this motel and individuals that decide to book here need to know it’s dirty and not safe.

Smoking hotel with no room service, no cancellation, poor quality towels & bedding, decent breakfast & friendly staff.

If you are looking for a cheap, smoking allowed room, this is the place for you. But, if you are looking for a nice comfortable stay without worrying about your car being broke into, with soft towels and good pillows this is not it. I called the next day to cancel when I found it was a smoking hotel and they would not cancel. Spoke to manager and corporate office, everyone was nice but would not budge on the cancellation. I wrote corporate and have not heard back.

    Filthy disgusting place

This location was the filthiest place that I have ever attempted to stay at. We were there 1 hour and I booked us at a Hilton Grand Inn. The stay at the Hilton was lovely it was clean! It was only $30 more than what I paid for this disgusting place. Never again. Best Western has lost my business and I will share my experience with everyone I speak to about the best western franchise
