Would not stay here again
I give this resort a 2/5. I am low maintenance and overall this has not been a good experience. This trip does not reflect the amount of money we spent per person. POOLS: The main pool is dirty. Water looks “foggy” and there are green bubbles coming out of the entrance way of the pool. I have been here for five days now, I have not seen one person clean the pool thus far. I brought two white bathing suits on this trip, and upon exiting the pool I was not understanding why my bathing suit was turning green - until I saw the green bubbles on day four. The main pool area only has one swim up bar with one or two workers, and it does take a significant amount of time to get a drink. There are a few more pools on the “adults only” side. On the adults only side, it is a completely different experience. Clean pool, and not a long wait time at the bar. I’ve also seen the workers thoroughly clean this pool on a daily basis. BARS: There are long waits at every bar. The drinks are basic, nothing too fancy. Bars open at 11:00am (so late). When I do ask for a bottle of water, they give it to me at room temperature or hot which is INSANE when you are dying of heat on vacation. ROOMS: Upon check in, our room was not ready for the entire day. I booked a king deluxe room and upon my arrival I was told that room is not available. The worker attempted to give me a room with two double beds. We waited a day and got our king deluxe room. Very inconvenient for me to wait for a room as I have a one year old on this trip. We were digging out of our luggage in the hallway all day. Our room is overall good. House keepers come everyday and do a great job cleaning. We do have a leak in our room creating puddles. Our closet door came off the hinge. It’s day 5 and I am still waiting for both of these issues to be rectified. Fridge is usually fully stocked with pop and water bottles. Depending on the house keeper you have that day, he/she may not stock the fridge. They sometimes keep the water bottles on the counter for you - very odd to me. WORKERS: All workers evidently do not want to be at work. They are all miserable and each time you ask for something, it seems like they are being inconvenienced. I asked for 6 shots at the bar (first time asking for a drink that day) for my cousins and I, and the bartender rolled her eyes. Out of embarrassment, I said “sorry” and she responded “it’s okay”. Even if you tip, there won’t be a difference in terms of the quality of service you will receive. There is also a coffee bar with a long wait time. I was waiting in line for ten minutes, and the worker served a local who was BEHIND ME before serving me. Very rude! After the local was served, I proceeded to ask for two cappuccinos without her prompt. She then gave me the extra drink she made for the local (he already touched the lid with his dirty hands) and handed it to me. Gross! Out of disgust, I gave the extra drink back to her, and re-ordered for the second time. BEACH: Full of seaweed. Workers don’t clean the beach - water is full of plastic bottles, paper, cigarettes etc. FOOD/ROOM SERVICE: Food is okay - nothing to rave about. Two of my family members had diarrhea all week. I seem to be fine thus far. There are two buffets with a variety of food and then the basic a le carte restaurants (Chinese, Brazilian, Italian , Mexican etc.) We went to tiki taco and waited 1.5 hours for our meal. Again, super inconvenient for a family with small children. We have to repeatedly ask for water or drinks because ordering the drink one time is not enough. It will not get to your table. Bad service… Some of the rooms offer room service. Each time we called down and ordered food, we did not receive the food AT ALL. Overall, I think it is better off to pay the extra money and stay at a five star resort with happy people, good food, and quality service!

Entertainment Team at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana
The entertainment team was so amazing!! They made everyone feel so incredibly special. Their dancing during the day by the pool and at night at the shows were so much fun to watch and it made you want to get up and dance with them! They would come over to you and ask to dance with you! Whenever they would dance with you or come and just say hi and talk to you it made you feel so special! They had so much energy all day and all night long! They also play so many fun games by the pool and beach and do water aerobics and dancing! They all always had a smiling face on! Our favorites were definitely Chocolatte, Bong Bong, and Mr. Blue! They were so nice and fun! Their dancing was so energetic and great! The music was also so good! The song that they dance to by the pool and at night at the shows is the best!!

Worst Resort Ever!
I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW LIKE THIS BEFORE. 1. The food was inedible! 2. On the resorts app, there is a list of rainy day activities. I asked the concierge, exercise instructor, and every other person that I could find who works there where the activities were and nobody knew. 3. None of the employees smile unless they are trying to sell you something. 4. Day 3- no running water in the shower. 5. The front desk employees are miserable. 6. Our room overlooked the outside of the resort, which had music blasting all night. 7. Smoking is allowed inside the buildings. 8. In the restaurant, despite being asked if I wanted coffee, I had to get it myself. 9. Days 1 and 2 fire alarms went off. 10. Night two, loud noises that sounded like gun shots. 11. I asked for a towel for the pool, and they told me to come back in 40 minutes.

Lots of sickness
We were a family of 9 and 8 of us got sick, I read reviews before we went and I was very concerned because we had our grandchildren with us, I would never go back to this resort,2 nights we walked by the buffet and it smelled like sewer, something is definitely not right at that resort.

Family trip to Punta Cana gone wrong
When we booked this hotel they weren't open yet we thought it would be all new and nice until we seen some of the horrible reviews coming out. They are all valid this place was very rough we had bad food that made us sick and made me and my wife say we probably won't be back to that area it was such a bad experience compared to the Cancun area. Quick hot items the food is horrible unsafe handling of food the staff not even there most of the time and the place is a ghost town for a reason you get what you pay for. My least favorite thing about this hotel was the handling of food and beverages. We were sun club guests and in the VIP lounge when checking in I get a corona and they pull a beer in a glass that was already poured in the fridge very strange. A couple days later I get a beer at a pool bar and they pour it out of an old Pina colada mix jug like a 2 gallon jug and pour my beer I couldn't believe this. The pizza shop on our first day was amazing they were pumping them out and they were great. However 2 days into our stay they were just never open and if by chance they did open they only had the nastiest chicken bones almost no meat on them and they would limit one per person. The pizza shop was hot like there should be no walls to the place it was an oven I watched a guy wiping sweat with his hands and go right back to making the pizza after that I was done trying that place. We ate at tiki taco and the brazilian steak house and it was one of those two places 3 out of the 6 of us got viciously sick. we couldn't figure out what the three of us ate but it was some bad food I was basically done eating the rest of the trip. The overall resort looks nice not falling apart looks like a nice place at the face. We were in the very back corner with the sunclub swim out rooms which were very nice. When we first get to our room the mini bar has two beers and two cokes I wish I would have known or found the guy that stocks these because they were the last drinks that were not water put in that fridge. Also that is the only bottled beverage on site everything else is a pour which I find weird with all the food health concerns that everyone has. The staff was distant they don't appear to give a crap about there job barely any smiling friendly faces and there is no service staff. We stayed at excellence playa mujares last and I would get bar service at my swim out room the beach pool anywhere this place there is none no one walking taking orders. The entertainment team was great chocolate was amazing he was that good at a place that bad. Sunclub has almost a zero value at this place there is almost no special treatment or anything that I would even think to pay more. By chance you book this place don't waste your money and if you are smart go somewhere else. However this place is cheap for a reason you get what you pay for I will next time be paying more I can't believe that Hyatt owns this property that was how I was tricked into thinking it would be legit but it fell short. The beach was nice the water had pockets without seaweed but the swarm of guys literally fighting like birds to sell you an excursion was dreadful. They never stopped In the end I would never come here again time on vacation is so precious and rare for it to be wasted at this place is a shame and I will and beg others to do their research. I hope that this place will change its ways it has to or I can't imagine it will be in business much longer.
