Love it - we keep going back!
My husband and I absolutely love this place! We go 1 to 2 times a year and it’s truly paradise! Beautiful beach, good food, safe, friendly staff!

Food quality was mid . I was expecting lobsters and crabs and fish but was received with American choices suited for American travelers. Clean staff are slow and forget to refill clean towels Most staff don’t greet you.

Exceeded our expectations
Spent a week here with friends and family in early April. We all had an amazing time. There were activities to cater to everyone’s needs. The pool and beach are gorgeous and beautiful. The buffets have a great variety of food-especially for breakfast. We tried the seafood, French, and sushi restaurants. The service was attentive at each. There are not many menu options to choose from at each restaurant, but enough to make an enjoyable dining experience. The casino slots paid out well!!! The cold plunge in the hydrotherapy treatment is refreshing and exhilarating! The upgrade to the “premium” level is worth it for the separate check-in office, which remains stocked with snacks and drinks from morning till night. Premium leve also allows you free 24 hour room service. We only tried once and that was the least tasty food we had all week. I definitely recommend staying in the adults only side. You still have full access to the rest of the resort—whether you get there from a quick 10 minute walk along the beach or use the train that shuttles guests back and forth, but it is much calmer and less crowded. The staff everywhere is helpful and friendly. Knowing even a few Spanish phrases/words will help with communication. We had a sea-view room with a great balcony to take in the ocean breeze. Housekeeping will provide you with towels, soaps, etc any time you need something. The rooms are not extravagant, but there’s so much to do at the resort, we really only needed the room for showers and sleeping. Heading in to our trip, we arrived with every intention of exploring the rest of the island….and ended up never leaving the resort! For a group that was a bit leery about our first trip to an all-inclusive resort, Barcelo Bavero met and exceeded all of our expectations and provided us a memorable vacation.

Perfect vacation
A vacation to Punta Cana and staying in the Barcelo beach resort (adults only) was a dream vacation come true. We have no complains to make.
