Terrible experience. 3 people 1 bed. Food quality and variety not good. Staff at front desk and management was terrible.

What a great week we had. Daniel in First Club took great care of us for our drinks. Barceló is showing her age a little, but I have zero complaints. The staff was responsive and the resort is clean. And its location is honestly the best beach because of the calm water. Be sure to see Carolina for your specially made eggs at the buffet every morning. And hang out with Armondo at the lobby bar after the nightly show.

Worth the money
The staff and management are wonderful and really took care of us, answering questions and taking special requests, going above and beyond. Thanks to Melvin, Lissette, Maria, Carolina, Karina, and Jaime in the Royal level restaurant. I cannot say thank you enough to the beach staff who helped us set up every morning. It is a family-friendly resort, and offered a number of events for both kids and adults. We took advantage of many of the restaurants on property and were not disappointed. The bartenders and waiters on the beach and in the hotel lobby were the best (nightly entertainment too!) The beach—gorgeous. We had a relaxing and fun family vacation.

Royal 9th floor restaurant
Melvin, Jaime, Karina and Lissette were outstanding in the 9th floor Royal restaurant!! The food was amazing and freshly made and always served with a smile, whether it was for breakfast, lunch or dinner!!! We will miss this amazing place!!
