Roaches in my room
I am a member of the privileged club. Our assigned room was great but there were roaches in the room (I have pictures). We called and they assigned us a tiny room with the paint peeling from the ceiling. We complained to the concierge the following day and he told us that they would change the room. We waited all day, then he got back to us 6 hours later saying that they couldn’t change the room. I called the toll free number and the lady that I spoke with was very unhelpful. I had made up my mind to leave but my husband wanted to wait. I will never visit this hotel again. In addition the room was not cleaned properly. There were blond hairs on the floor( my hair is black and my husband is bald) plus there was peeling paint that fell from the ceiling on the table.

Go somewhere else, this place is the worst all inclusive ever. Complete dump!!
I was forced to come to this dump resort and a horrible excuse for an all inclusive hotel because my family wanted to be cheap and trust me it was absolutely horrible. I will NEVER EVER stay at this resort or any other Bahia Resort ever again. The staff was rude and full of attitude, the food was horrible, nothing was good except for the jerk chicken and pork at the lunch buffet. The resort is unkept and the staff are not motivated to provide service. The best thing about this resort was the Rastaman selling green stuff in the ocean water. That’s probably the best thing about this hotel. DO NOT Waste your money, go somewhere else.

Inability to get into restaurants is a deal breaker
The resort is lovely. The staff were wonderful. The room was amazing. However, a downfall that is huge to us was the inability to get reservations to the a la cart restaurants. We were unable to get reservations on the app prior to arrival and were unable to go to restaurants that we wanted. Different restaurants were closed every day and they were 1/2 empty when we were there. 2 separate couples we talked to had only 1 a la cart reservation. The buffet was average. Overall loved the resort and the staff but the inability to get the restaurant reservations are a deal breaker. So 5 star resort but 2 stars for food.

Very disappointed!
We booked the luxury side expecting luxury for 1 week. We paid over 2700$ CAD per person. Cons: .The rooms are dirty (we changed 2 times! 1st facing work site and dirty bathroom, second sewage backing up in shower). All the rooms have a strong smell of mildew and need updating badly .You don't get the services you've paid for (all the à la carte fully booked, bars running out of fruit juice at 1pm, no bars open at all on the beaches, a lot of the restaurants closed even though they post that they are supposedto be opened) .Sellers/drug dealers on all the beaches and like a lot of them (15+) all the time .80% of the staff has an attitude and will roll their eyes at you when you are obviously annoyed with what is going on or are just asking a question . You have to tip all the time if you want good service or even just a smile .The luxury side, that you pay more for, has no real extras or luxury for that matter. It's the same as the other side but without children .Nobody really knows what is going on or is doing anything to make your stay better Pros: .The food is really good .20% of the staff is really friendly even when not tipped .The beach workers work really hard all day long cleaning season weed and collecting glasses All in all, it was a very disappointing stay and we will not come back or recommend this place.

Improvements need to be made for reserving restaurants. I heard a $20 payment could get you in, hope that’s not true.
The resort was nice and well kept. We were told to use the app to reserve our restaurants at the resorts. The restaurants are available at the adults and family Bahia resorts. The app is horrible. You can not reserve restaurants ahead of time, either can you upon arrival. We did get reservations at a couple very late in the evening, after 9:00 PM. This was the time evening entertainment took place, which you also had to pay for seperately- not included with your all-inclusive package. All the restaurants were empty and tables were not filled. We spent a week there, employees were very nice. The weekend did get very wild, but there were other pools that were quieter. The snorkeling was great, the water in front of the luxury resort was very shallow, but fish were in abundance and we really enjoyed it. The snorkeling on the family side was very nice by the doc. The transport back to the airport took two hours. We have been spoiled by other all inclusive resorts.
