Had a fantastic time!
My husband and I just got back. We absolutely loved everything about it! Would highly recommend this resort to anyone. We loved the food, room, pool areas, adults onlyarea, restaurants. Had many choices of restaurants and places to be by the water. The pool area was huge and beautiful. Didn’t have tom9lay the towel game! It was a beautiful resort, will definitely go back!

Luxury? Not so sure.
We checked in this week, Feb 23, 2025 First let me say I’ve been to the Bahia grande runaway bay 3times so decided to try the Bahia luxury side. Honestly I’m not sure why, other than adults only., this is considered luxury. The hotel description says unlimited dining in alll restaurants etc. Well that’s not accurate. You can’t get reservations at Don Pablo, the Japanese restaurant and others are difficult. But I found out why. The better restaurants are on the Grande side not.luxury side. The luxury side is only provided with 20% of the seating capacity so priority is given to the families and people on the Grand side. It caters to families etc. Tell me that kids care about French cuisine. I expected the dining on the luxury side to have the finer dining. I assumed I was paying for excellent dining experiences. The luxury side has only three restaurants and the Asian restaurants last night was a disappointment. I seriously believed my dining would be “fine dining” for a luxury experience, Our room was only cleaned at 5:00 pm after calling. Honestly, I’m not sure where the luxury upgrade is provided. For my several experience on the Grande side and now Luxury side, my preference would definitely be Grande side. Don’t pay the extra for luxury, unless you really want adults only. And p.s. there are no USB charging ports and only three outlets, one being beside the bed so rotate charging.

Best all inclusive resort I’ve experienced yet!
We stayed at the adults only side at Bahia Principe Luxury during their “winter” in February and still 80+ degrees! I can not say enough about the amazing staff from the minute you step off the shuttle.. doormen, front lobby, entertainment, food/bar/room service, housekeeping and grounds! The resort is beautiful and immaculate. The food is delicious whether you’re at a restaurant or poolside snacks. A variety of shopping is onsite for anything you may have forgotten or to purchase souvenirs. The private beach cove is so relaxing if you want to get away from the busyness of the pool. The ocean water was actually warmer than the pool! The entertainment staff are hands down our favorite people.. Armando, Thunder & Crazy Legs thank you for making us feel like a VIP ❤️ the dj, dancers, pool party activities & shows every night are so fun. For an extra cost see the Xaymaca show.. it’s worth it. One thing I would suggest is make sure you book your dinner reservations for ala carte restaurants as soon as you do pre check in 7-10 days ahead of your trip. Even then they may only have late dinner time openings depending on what time of year you’re visiting. Only one thing was a negative for me, the bed mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable, could just be me or the room we had. Jamaica now holds a special place in my heart and we are 100% coming back to Bahia!

You get out what you put in
Over all the trip experience was once in a lifetime. While we did not have other All In trips to compare to, this one did not disappoint. I read many of the reviews +ve/-ve before and during our trip and now understand better. There is some truth to ALL of them but that did not diminish the experience. The resort was clean and grounds maintained BUT it is not new and does not look brand new. The rooms (24 block, 7th floor) were tired (so was the A/C) and the bathroom could use some work (shower leaked, ceiling panels sagging) but it was clean and orderly and did not ruin our stay. ALL of the staff were SUPER friendly and helpful BUT they are just people. You get out of it what you put into it. This is THEIR lives, THEIR jobs and EVERYONE has a bad day. If you are nothing but a complainer you would probably not be happy ANYWHERE. The a-la-carte restaurants were fantastic. We were out of our comfort zone at a few of them but that is just our tastes and some of us got to broaden our horizons when we would NEVER go to a local Japanese restaurant and asian to us is The Mandarin. The Quality of food and service was fabulous! IF you read the reviews you would have known to book ahead which is exactly what we did. We booked a party of 5 from 2 different rooms EVERY night of our stay for every restaurant. We missed out on The Knife due to travel delays. Yes they all seemed somewhat empty but we got what we wanted. The drinks were never ending. By the end of the trip we were done. I had NO PROBLEM MAN with RedStripe or any liquor they served. If your tastes are that discerning and refined then you are out of luck. The beach on the Luxury side was nice but the water was shallow and small area. SMOKING was an issue. Seems people could not follow the rules which were not enforced. I watched some woman flicking her ashes in the pool! WTF? This needs immediate staff training! Trips off the resort were fabulous. Did the caves/falls/luminous lagoon/Ocho shopping. Locals can be pushy but they just want a bit of RESPECT man. I had no problems and was able to say NO when needed. They are just trying to make a living! Tipping is important and should be done thoughtfully. If you are aware of their Living Standards then you know even 1 USD tip makes a big difference. I know this is long but this was our Experience. I highly recommend it.
