    Best Resort in Punta Cana!

    I had a fantastic time. The entertainment day and night is brilliant. The buffet is delicious but you can also book A la Carte. I advise downloading the bahia principle app and doing this before you arrive. Very close to the beach also! Ambar is another resort a bit closer to the beach but no sure of their entertainment. There is also a village, casino and club but all separate to the main site. I really would recommend this brilliant resort! We had a fantastic time! Also note that there are five resorts on one campus so you can walk about and visit all of them!

    Had a wonderful time and will go back

    The only reason I didn't give the resort 5 stars is that the TV was substandard. The picture was grainy and there were only American news channels to watch in English. That's really the only negative thing I can say. I don't know if it was just our room or if that's what it was like everywhere. You never know what you're going to get at an all-inclusive so I'm glad to say that this place was lovely. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was unfailingly professional. Our building was less than 10 minutes from the beach if you walked, but there are open air buses that run regularly if you want to get there faster. The grounds were beautiful and while we were there the weather was hot and sunny the entire week. The buffet was great and the waiters and waitresses extremely pleasant. We opted to eat at one of the restaurants, the Italian, and it was very good. Before I go I'd like to add that tipping goes a long way to making your stay even nicer. The workers depend on tips to supplement their income and believe me, they are very appreciative. We're planning to go back in the fall and can't wait.

    For a 5 star, we will return!!!

    NEGATIVE: For cleaning rooms have iron will. When we arrived, the whirlpool was dirty. We're on our third day and still dirty. To get shower gel for washing, here's what I did: 1- call at least 3 times in 2 days. Write a note to the maid with her tip but not have soap. I managed to get some but by removing the bottle from the base and putting it on the counter and not leaving a tip. Why don't you try to figure that out? The beds are very very firm. It makes your back hurt. Courtesy at the buffet reception we will also come back. Yet we always leave our tip. To get service, you'd have to be a bigshot band. When you're two, you pay. Just yesterday at supper, they offered us wine and we never had it. Yesterday, at the beach, a rather selfish Quebecer did not want me to take the 2 chairs next to him in the palapas. According to him, despite the fact that there were no towels and the people left, he had a vested right because it was his brother-in-law who had just left. People are more selfish here. DON'T GET CAUGHT BY A SUPPOSED WELCOME GIFT! We realize that the gift is a given after 60 minutes of meeting to join a club. A real waste of time. The only way I can get out of this is to pretend I'm uncomfortable to leave. We feel hostage. Positive found: nice lobby to have a good coffee in the morning. Then there's a lot of baby puppies and young cats. Fun enough. They stand outside the buffet building.

    Excellent level, super recommended

    This All inclusive is a luxury, the service is excellent. But I will highlight a situation that we lived in health, my partner. He broke down and had 39.5° fever from an infection, I never saw as good and professional care as the doctors of the hotel, and then those of the clinic where we were referred from the hotel (everything was covered by the assistance he had hired, universal assistance also super recommended, took care of everything). The truth is super professional. I recommend this chain and we will return without hesitation!!!

    The worst hotel

    Estimated: During my recent visit to the Dominican Republic from 01 to 16 March 2025 at the Bahia Principe Aquamarine and Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar Hotel, unfortunately, my experience was negative due to mistreatment by most locals. In particular, I experienced unpleasant attitudes and disrespect on the hotel premises from most of the staff, which I formally complained about in due course. This significantly affected my perception of the country and my willingness to recommend it to others. To such an extent was the discomfort that generated me the first week's stay at Aquamarine hotel, that I proceeded to make an up grade payment, which was an expense that I had not contemplated, to the Luxury Ambar hotel of the same Chain Bahia Principe with the intention of changing the situation, but although I improve considerably but still with some unpleasant failures, in the common facilities we continue to feel aggrieved. Bad faces, disrespect, mockery by a member of the Privilege office that is located in front of the gym in Aquamarine hotel, when we asked for something the employees looked with bad faces, they did not answer. We asked for a cart to move to the Aquamarine hotel and they didn't ask for them we spent more than 20 minutes waiting for that we were VIP members. The employees did not let rest with the screams of the hallway all day, bad answers, lies on the part of the employees for example we asked for a cart in the restaurant Tequila by day and at night they answered that they did not have a phone that we should expect any that happens, we happened to ask for a drink at the bar on the first floor of the bar Las Olas and an employee answered that I should wait half an hour for that drink the same left returned did not prepare the drink had no name, did not answer my questions. I had physical decompensation for disowning so much I had to be assisted with medical service. It was common to hear screams from people who were already fed up and tired of the abuse, it was also common to comment on these situations among the guests.We were told that in other hotels the same thing happened, so lies and mistreatment disrespect continuously, for my part I do not wish to return to the only Country where we were mistreated all the time unfortunately. Although this was repeatedly raised to the hotel authorities, this was not addressed throughout the stay. We are talking about a 5 star hotel. To improve, I suggest training staff in customer service and promoting a culture of respect for visitors. Since there are a thousand more situations that I could comment on in the same way as Mistreatment. However, I also had the pleasure of meeting some incredibly friendly and helpful people. For example, the staff of the hotel where I stayed in the second week (Luxury Ambar) was very attentive, except the air conditioning technician who did not work went to the room turned on the fan and said that hopefully we would already refresh, to which we demand the Concierge and the command to fix it. In addition, I met very charming people as Phillip, Simon, Daniela, Jose and Cirla were always present from the privilege beach bar the waves were excellent hosts, I would like to highlight their exceptional service of Cruz in the Bar Tequila and Santa in villa 67 of hotel Ambar. I hope for an answer in the coming days and some kind of compensation for everything that happened clarifying that I am not going back to this Country for several years unfortunately not to live these very unpleasant situations for a holiday with how expensive it is to get there and return with the bitterness that was the saddest holiday of all. I will raise this claim to all the hotel sites and competent authorities of both Argentina and Dominican Republic, also to the company RCI for sending me to this place. I believe it is important to address the problems of mistreatment and disrespect for visitors. To improve, I suggest training staff in customer service and promoting a culture of respect for tourists. Verify, analyze and examine what is the root cause of these unacceptable problems more for a 5-star hotel chain and such a tourist country is a very unfortunate pity. In this way, try to change the treatment of Dominicans to tourists. I hope they can evolve because no human being deserves to be treated in such constant ways and disrespects.
