    A true find

    We loved everything about our recent stay at the Austria Haus - from the great location, short walk to lifts and vail village, fabulous breakfast, cozy room and friendly, helpful staff. An added bonus was the ability to check our skis at the base of gondola one. This was a true find!

    Friendly and well appointed family run hotel in the centre of Vail

    Excellent hotel with lovely well appointed rooms and friendly staff right in the heart of Vail. The room was delightful with a fire and seating area and large en-suite bathroom with toasty underfloor heating. Fantastic location for access to the slopes.

    Warm Hotel in Central Location

    I had a fantastic stay at Austria Haus. From the moment I arrived, the staff were universally friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and the location across from the Transportation Center, and adjacent to the Covered Bridge, cannot be beat! The real surprise was breakfast- not only was it included in the rates, but it provided a hearty start to the day, with omelettes, waffles, and crispy bacon on offer, as well as many other options. I wont hesitate to return here when staying in Vail! Thanks for a great stay.

    Nice experience

    The location of Austria Haus was great. The accommodations were better than expected. It is a small hotel that doesn't have a bar or traditional amenities, but that doesn't matter. You are immediately within Vail Village with access to all of the bars and restaurants. It is only a few minute walk to the gondola. I rented skis at Venture Base Camp and was able to valet my skis and boots overnight with them immediately adjacent to the gondola.

    Best hotel in Vail

    The facilities have tremendous character and charm. From the fireplace that greats you when you enter the lobby to the breakfast area that overlooks Vail Mountain to the hallways and finally the rooms. Breakfast is a treat. Great variety. Pick what you want and sit down and eat. No waiting. The staff is very friendly and quite helpful. Overnight ski storage is a dream since skis can be safely left at Gondola One at the end of the day. Gondola One is a short walk from the hotel so getting to the slopes is a simple walk. When not skiing, it is easy to get around town since the city bus has a stop very near the hotel. Truly a great place to stay.
