    The Adolphus Royalty Treatment

The Adolphus treated us like royalty. Everything is at the 5 star excellence expected from a historic hotel in downtown Dallas. The bed was the best and I slept like a baby. I rested so well that the adventures of the next two days were fun to experience. All their restaurants have excellent selections. Add this to a Bucket List, to get the Royalty Treatment. Dorina is excellent as hotel desk professional. She exceeds the guest expectations. Making memories to share for the holidays was perfect at The Adolphus!

best hotel staff in Dallas, thank you Mr. Aguilera

The Adolphus Hotel is actually a wonderful place, from the moment you arrive, Petro Aguilera opens the doors with a huge smile (just like every time you arrive from your walks in Dallas) until he kindly and with great technique organizes each suitcase in the trunk. He introduced me to Rogelio, the driver and bellman, he told me "you won't be in better hands" well I think he didn't fall short. Rogelio's knowledge of the city is simply amazing, he recommended exactly what we wanted to eat there. best location in the city without being the most expensive. Petro Aguilera , thank you, I will listen to you, I will recommend Adolphus to each of my friends.

    Premium Property, just average hotel

The majority of the staff provided excellent service, from check-in to valet and bell services; however, the interaction with the front desk manager was disappointing. If this hotel is indeed the second-best in Dallas and you are looking for that level of hotel, I would consider seeking accommodations elsewhere. It felt like an average Marriott, at best. While the building has charm and a rich history, many common areas appear worn, and the rooms were merely satisfactory. My bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned, with hair on the floor, and the hair dryer was inoperative, taking 30 minutes to replace. Additionally, the room's layout lacked space for a sitting area. The room was average. These issues, while not severe, are concerning for a premium Marriott property that commands higher rates than many competitors in the area, and the Adolphus fails to meet those elevated expectations. Furthermore, parking costs $58 per night, and the location is less than ideal unless one’s business is downtown. I reserved three rooms for a total of five nights but only required one night for one of the rooms, yet the manager showed no flexibility regarding an early checkout. I acknowledge the policy I agreed to upon booking, but having stayed at numerous Marriott locations across the country, I am aware that hotels often have the capacity to accommodate changes in stay duration. I anticipated a more accommodating interaction with the manager. In conclusion, this hotel is average at best. Next trip to Dallas will be somewhere else or if I stay here, it would be with much lowered expectations. I am confident that it does not deserve its current ranking as the second-best hotel in Dallas, and I would categorize the quality of the rooms as less than average, even for a standard Marriott property.

    Christmas in Dallas

We had the best time! The chalet is the way to go and our server was amazing! It feels like Christmas the whole time. Loved every part of it! Christmas Thyme is here is a great cocktail and we got the roasted smores and the tiramisu and just loved it! Perfect for a group outing during the holidays! 🎄

    Barber Shop Gem!

The barber shop at the Adolphus hotel in downtown Dallas is a hidden gem! The hotel overall, is simply, in one word: fantastic! I happened to walk by the barber shop today, and was in need of a quick trim. Both Quan and Brenda who were at the shop today, were professional, fun and welcoming! Quan did an awesome job, and even though Brenda had other clients while I was there, she was fun to chat with, as were the other clients (hi Jimmy😃).What a great experience! Thank you Team Adolphus! PS, if you are in town, and need a haircut or other barber shop service, I highly recommend these folks! Cheers! Big Country
