An excellent hotel
We started this trip with four nights at the grand Hyatt in Kauai. Then we stayed two nights at the Inn at Mamas Fish house. We finished our trip with three nights at the AC by Marriott Wailea. We had originally booked a”the residence Inn Wailea, but decided that the AC was a better choice for us. Of all the hotels we stayed at in Hawaii on this trip, The AC by Marriott was our favorite. It is an excellent value if you’re using points by the way. My partner is platinum elite with Marriott and we did get an upgrade. We were checked in by Tammy who was in training and couldn’t have been nicer. Her supervisor went above and beyond in finding a room that suited our needs. Our room was an ocean view room with two queens. The view was amazing. The pool and hot tub are so beautiful, We are beach people, but didn’t even mind not being directly on the beach. We walked to the beach one day and drove another day. On Maui, we love the Wailea beaches the best. The room was new very, modern, clean and beautiful. The beds and pillows were awesome. The chairs on the balcony were super comfortable and we spent a lot of time watching the whales off in the distance. The hotel had a unique boutique feel. We loved the Korres toiletries from Greece-Such a treat. The shower was one of the best ever with great water pressure. They have a great deal at breakfast with excellent food , we ate there every morning. One evening we ordered Poke and drinks. The food was great and the service was even better. We splurged on dinner at Mama’s Fish House one night and definitely were not disappointed. We also love the restaurant called Da Kitchen which is very reasonable and has amazing food. The location of this hotel puts you in the nicest part of Wailea, on the hill overlooking the ocean. Again, a beautiful artsy hotel with excellent staff that were very kind. The whole place was pretty laid-back and chill which was also great. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. We actually stayed at the Andaz across the street a few years ago, and we like the AC by Marriott much better.

Stay to the explore Maui, not to enjoy the hotel
It's a basic hotel. Modern, airy with minimal food options onsite. The infinity pool is nice but faces a parking lot. The rooms have a good amount of space and the bathroom is a good size. There don't offer body lotion. The bath products are okay. A bit musky for my liking. Overall, it's too pricey for what it offers. We stayed in an ocenview room facing the pool.

The Best Hotel!
The pool was the best, there was a hot tube and was unreal. I recommend getting a first floor room facing the pool. So that each morning you just open you door and take a nice morning dip. I came on July Fourth and from the pool you can see the fire works going off.

Excellent, quiet boutique hotel
I am currently staying at this wonderful hotel and I cannot believe the negative reviews! This is an amazing boutique hotel- granted it's not on the beach, but what makes it so amazing is how quiet and chill it is. This place exemplifies laid back Hawaii- and the views are absolutely stunning. We are really relaxing here. The pool and spa are so beautiful, the rooms super comfortable and clean (idk about the review saying there's no housekeeping- our room is beautifully serviced daily) and the staff is amazing- friendly, attentive, they remember your name etc. Every staff member with whom we've interacted has been phenomenal. I hope you get greeted by the gregarious and sweet Tisha at check in, like we did. She was awesome! What really sets this place apart is that it feels like your own private boutique hotel. This morning I asked the front desk attendant what it's like when it's busy and he said "this is it- we're at almost 100 percent capacity." I was floored. It feels like there's no one here! I'm a Marriott Titanium member and I've stayed at Marriott branded hotels throughout the world and while yes breakfast could be free instead of discounted, and drinks are on the expensive side, I wouldn't let that keep you from staying here. It's the same thing at every other hotel in the area. Everything in this part of Maui is overpriced. You should expect to pay more when you come here regardless of where you stay. So in summary, if you're looking for a small, laid back, relaxed hotel with beautiful amenities, excellent service and friendly staff I would highly recommend the AC!

Not worth the price
The hotel was nice, quiet and clean but not worth the price, even for Wailea. Not even close. We were there 3 nights without the room being serviced. I finally called and learned that I was set to have linens changed being it was 3 days. I think even Motel 6 has daily maid service. We had their $30 breakfast which was grossly overpriced. They need to either lower the cost or improve what they offer. The bar and pool were very nice which is why I booked my stay here. I had been to the bar on previous trips. Overall, I would not choose AC Hotel Wailea again. Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei was just as nice (except for the bar) and nearly half the price. And it had free parking vs $30/night at AC Hotel. I just hope this saves someone from making the same expensive mistake I did.
